Our approach combines editorial photography with documentary storytelling. We create images that feel refined and intentional while preserving the genuine emotions, atmosphere and spontaneous moments that make every wedding unique. We believe the most meaningful photographs are not only beautiful to look at, but bring you back to how your wedding day actually felt. Weddings by Stela was founded by Stela Horvat, a professionally educated photographer with more than a decade of experience in photography. With degrees in Photography from the Academy of Dramatic Arts and New Media from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, her background in photography, fine art and fashion continues to shape the visual identity of our work today. Since 2018, destination weddings have taken us across Croatia and internationally. As destination wedding photographers in Croatia, we photograph celebrations in Dubrovnik, Split, Hvar, Zagreb, Istria and along the Croatian coast, as well as weddings and love stories throughout Europe and worldwide. Our way of working is relaxed and unobtrusive. We don't want your wedding day to feel like one long photoshoot. Instead, we allow moments to unfold naturally and step in with guidance when it is helpful. During portraits, we'll give you enough direction to create beautiful photographs without making them feel overly posed or disconnected from who you are.
